When you listen to a song, tell me if you don’t ask yourself questions: How did that song come about? What was the inspiration for writing it? What story is behind that song?
Well, we created this segment to explain each and every one of our songs, and thus be able to remove those doubts and uncertainties that you have about Damn Funk’s great songs!
Food & Drink
We have many favorite foods, we love tropical organic fruits, a good steak, fish, lobsters, fresh shrimp, but we also love a delicious sushi, a good pizza cooked in a stone oven, and homemade charcoal-grilled hamburgers.
To drink we love natural water. But also… beer, tequila, red wine, red bulls or monsters, milkshakes and we can’t miss enjoying a good coffee in the morning.
Influences & Inspirations
As influences we have almost all music, Funk, Jazz, Soul, Rock, Raggae and more.. We love music! For this project our main influences are all the Funk music made between the 60s and 80s, classic Jazz (Louis Armstrong, Billie Holiday, Fitzgerald, Nina Simone), great artists like the Jackson dynasty, James Brown, The Commodores, Tom Jones, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Bob Marley, The Beatles, and the list goes on and on.
Hoobies & Freetime
Our most common hobbies are listening to music, playing paddle tennis, tennis, ping pong, billiards, swimming, hiking, meditation, dancing, playing cards, Xbox, PlayStation, and we are movie buffs.
Comedy, action, superhero, animation, and especially horror movies.
